TECHNIQUES: Handbuilding
Hand-Building fascinates with the beauty of imperfection. In this class you will create your own objects and learn different techniques.
In the first two classes you will learn how to make handbuilded pieces as tea bowls and small vases or whatever you desire. We will use the pinching, coiling and slab building technique. In the third class you will glaze your pieces.
Please note that the last class date might be later because your pieces need to be fired before glazing. You can pick up your finished pieces 2-4 weeks after our last class.
The class will be taught by one of our talented members Elise Weyland and Antonia Joubert.
Material and firing costs are included in the fee.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
- All classes take place at our studio in the souterrain, Schleiermacherstrasse 18, 10961 Berlin.
- Please ensure that you can attend all class dates and arrive on time. You may request a refund by canceling your booking at least 14 days in advance of the first class date via email at studio@ploettjes.com. After this period, we reserve the right to retain the full payment.
- In case the class does not reach the minimum number of 4 participants, the class will be canceled and the class fee refunded in full to the participants. If you want you can simply book a new spot for another class.
- Please note: By booking this class you assure that you have a private liability insurance.
- The class booking is binding once payment has been received in full on Plöttjes Studio´s account. By booking you agree to our terms and conditions.
- If a class (date) cannot take place due to the instructor´s inability to attend, the class date will be rescheduled or taught by another instructor without additional class fee. If no alternatives can be offered, the class fee will be refunded in proportion to the number of class units that have been cancelled.
- We will notify you by mail when your pieces are ready for pickup. Please make sure to collect them promptly. Unfortunately, if unclaimed after three months, we´ll need to dispose of them as we have limited space in the studio.
- Gift vouchers are valid for one year from the date of issue and are redeemable for one person . Please note that vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash or products.
